The Legendary BUCK RAM PLATTERS
Performing on Saturday, June 12 at 6:30 PM and 9:30 PM

The Legendary Platters with their unique style that topped the record charts with 16 gold records including “Only You”, “The Great Pretender”, “You’ve Got the Magic Touch”, “Remember When”, “My Prayer” and “Smoke Gets in My Eyes”.

Because Buck Ram was associated with THE PLATTERS since 1954, shortly after their formation, it is not possible to present a biography of one without the other. Hence, this bio combines the information on both Buck Ram and THE PLATTERS. As composer, arranger, record producer, discoverer of great songs and talented artists, Buck Ram was personally involved with the sale of over one hundred million records.

Probably one of the biggest selling songs of all time, "Only You," written by Buck Ram for THE PLATTERS over 40 years ago, has been a million selling single for many artists, and is being recorded by young, contemporary talent right now. The song has been a gold record for artists of such highly diverse musical styles as Louis Armstrong, Acker Bilk, Frank Pourcell, Norro Wilson, Ringo Starr, Johnny Mathis and Reba McEntire. "Only You" was the first of a series of Buck Ram penned million sellers for THE PLATTERS, and the song catapulted the group to stardom in 1955.

Some of Buck's other now-standard compositions are "Twilight Time" (which sold over 5 millions copies as an instrumental by THE THREE SUNS and over 5 million as a vocal by THE PLATTERS), "I'll Be Home For Christmas," recorded by Bing Crosby, "For The First Time," recorded by Mario Lanza and "Slow Freight," recorded by Glenn Miller.

In total, Buck wrote over 500 songs, including such evergreens as "Fool That I Am," "On My Word Of Honor," "I'm Sorry," "Adorable," "At Your Beck And Call," "Remember When" and "Afterglow." His music has been recorded by many of the world's greatest artists, including Mahalia Jackson, The Ink Spots, B.B. King, Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald, to name just a few. As a composer, Buck earned 16 gold and two platinum records.
Not only did Buck discover THE PLATTERS in 1954 and write most of their biggest hits, he developed for this fabulous group one of the most successful, distinguished and enduring musical styles of all time.

Buck styled THE PLATTERS before they turned professional. He had run across four singers who asked Buck for an audition. Buck liked what he heard. He added a girl vocalist, two years of coaching, money, months and months of rehearsals, the right songs, the right arrangements and the right sound that would identify the group.

New Country Stars BOMSHEL
Performing on Friday, June 11 at 8:30 pm

Few young women are equally at ease penning a poignant hit about a friend battling cancer or simply knocking back tequila with Kix Brooks, but then again you can always count on Bomshel to embrace the extremes and---like their name implies---deliver the unexpected.

Well known for their vivacious personalities and sense of musical adventure, the Curb Records duo hit the top of the country charts with “Fight Like a Girl.” Their recent hit “19 & Crazy” and fun dance smash hit “Bomshel Stomp” is popular in the clubs throughout the country.

“Bomshel has been such a journey of self discovery for me personally. The whole thing has been amazing,” says Kristy, who first met Kelley when they were both performing at a multi-artist event in Michigan. “Kelley went on right before me and the line up included Blake Shelton, Sarah Buxton and other acts. I’d been out in the crowd and I was leaving to go get ready for my set when she came out and started singing. I came back in so I could watch her and she had an amazing voice. It absolutely blew my mind. She’s like LeAnn Rimes, Carrie Underwood and Martina McBride---all my favorite singers---all wrapped in one. This girl is an incredible singer and she was owning the stage.”

The two struck up a friendship that led to merging their talents as Bomshel. “I called Kristy back and we talked to two o’clock in the morning just like best friends do,” Kelley recalls of how quickly things developed after their first meeting. “I’d never really met somebody who became an instant friend like that. It’s real funny because we are so different, complete opposites, night and day, but for some reason, it totally works.” Both women entered the duo with a healthy respect for what the other brought to the party.

The blend of Eric as Dan Aykroyd and Carmen as the late John Belushi is a perfect mix in re-creating the "Blues Brothers". However, these "BLUZMEN" go a step further. They showcase some of the original choreography with a few "steps" of their own. As one show critic put it: "These two men have it all down! The look, the sound, every move and the crazy antics!!!"

Eric and Carmen have been performing together as "The Blues Brothers" for 18 years in over 9000 shows worldwide. For ten years, they were a staple in the award winning show "Legends in Concert" in Las Vegas. To this day they are still considered to be one of the most popular acts to have ever graced the highly successful show. Their popularity is not limited to just Las Vegas. They have showcased their act across the United States and all over the world! Entertaining in such cities as: New York, Atlantic City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, New Orleans, Reno, Maui, Lake Tahoe, San Francisco, San Diego, Phoenix, Palm Springs, St. Louis, Miami, Orlando and many more. Their talents have taken them to several countries, including: Russia, Japan, Canada, Finland, Mexico, Bermuda and the Bahamas. They have also made numerous appearances on television, including: The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Today Show, MTV, VH-1, ESPN, CBS This Morning, Entertainment Tonight, Leeza and the #1 rated show in Japan, Monomane.

Night after night, they sing and dance with a frenetic energy that brings down the house. Constantly in demand for corporate and convention shows, they have become legendary because of their infectious energy and excitement that is generated among their audiences. Over the past seven years they have become one of the top corporate acts in the country!

Following are a few quotes of celebrities and dignitaries about Eric and Carmen. "Terrific" …Jay Leno. "These Guys Are Great!" …Dick Clark "John Belushi, would have been proud" ...Bernie Brillstein (Belushi’s personal manager and executive producer of The Blues Brothers Movie) "The Greatest!" …Kenny Guinn, Nevada Governor. "Fantastic!"…Wayne Newton. "If it isn’t Eric Martin and Carmen Romano, then it isn’t the Blues Brothers!"…House of Blues. Of these two men, Dan Aykroyd himself, may have said it best: "BURNIN' MAN".

Tribute To Elvis by DON ROSE
Performing On Sunday, June 13 at 1 PM & 3 PM

Seventy-five years ago in 1935, Elvis Presley was born in a humble, two-room house in the small town of Tupelo, Mississippi. His twin brother, Jesse Garon, was stillborn. Elvis would remain an only-child.Two decades later, Elvis led a cultural revolution through the introduction of a new style of music that fused country, rhythm & blues, and gospel. Eventually, it would become known as rock 'n' roll . . . and Elvis as the King.

Freely moving back and forth among his favorite musical genres rather than limiting himself only to rock 'n' roll, Elvis recorded nearly 750 different songs in his lifetime.

Don Rose was born in Dayton, OH in 1958. Don started performing his Elvis show a few years after Elvis passed away. He has performed his Elvis tribute all across the United States and Canada. He has toured in Germany, Switzerland, Japan and Headlined in HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE KING in Don Laughlin’s Celebrity Theatre at the Riverside Hotel & Casino in Laughlin, Nevada, as well as in Showrooms of Regal Cruise Lines, and Commodores Cruise Lines. Don has appeared on PM Philadelphia, ABC’s Mike & Matty Show, and TNN’s Country Tonight with Gary Chapman. He now makes his home in Las Vegas where he spends about half the year in Vegas- the other half on the road, playing major Casinos, doing corporate and convention work, along with concerts and one-nighters.

Don Rose’s tribute to Elvis, "ALOHA FROM LAS VEGAS" is said to be one of the best. He has a following across the country and an affiliation with the Jailhouse Rockers of California and TCB for California Elvis Presley Fan Clubs. His stage charisma and his strong voice are what fans most compare him with to the real Elvis. Don knows that there will never be another Elvis Presley and considers himself to be a bigger Elvis fan than impersonator. Don works hard to make every event a special occasion and looks forward to meeting Elvis fans all around the world.
